We partnered with celebrity photographer and film director Greg Williams to help you photograph the perfect MARTINI moment with your friends. So grab your camera and learn how to capture the best of your summer!
NATURAL LIGHTING
By harnessing the natural warmth and light of the sun, you can capture the perfect photo with minimal editing. Some of the benefits of using sunlight effectively include:
• Enhancing depth with shadows
• Playing with natural light to capture sparkling reflections
• Makes your photographs look authentic and natural
• Sunlight is free and accessible, with no extra kit needed
Be mindful, as sometimes harsh sunlight can be unforgiving, you can look for a nearby cloud to filter some of the sunlight, producing a softer outcome.
BACKLIGHTING
Backlighting is great for providing light behind your subjects, giving your final photos a beautiful, soft reflection. Great for creating atmospheric photos full of ambiance.
CAMERA EXPOSURE
Did you know that you can manually control the exposure in your photo within the camera app of your smartphone? Adjust the light and shadows to create the perfect portrait. You can also play with saturation, brilliance, and warmth for more custom creations.
PHOTO COMPOSITION
Perhaps the most important part of the process is the composition. Always think about how you’re filling the whole frame, what you want highlight and what you want hide.
GET INVOLVED
When photographing your nearest and dearest, get involved too! No one knows your friends better than you, so make them feel comfortable. Some pointers:
• How about a ‘cheers’ to get your glass in shot as well as theirs
• Get them to talk to you whilst you’re shooting
• Make sure everyone’s having a good time!
